13: FEED design

The surface of Feed is simple. the bigger picture is interesting story of the future. Although beneath the surface there are deeper aspects of the text. The authors writing is intelligent. Being a simple text to read it is easy to miss key concepts. He incorporates concepts within main ideas. Ones most readers do not ex-knowledge. The author writes about a futuristic world that reflects the present one. He captures the parallel example of the negative effects of the media.

He is clever taking ordinary components of our life's to the extreme. Throughout the book he draws attention to elements of our life's. Taking ordinary digital devices in our life's and tests the boundaries of how we know them. everything is written with a lot of exaggeration. a simple device like the takes the computer Tobin takes as an element and makes it apart of a persons mind. it gets you thinking about our current generation and future generations.

Artwork is sometimes best expressed with exaggeration. To look at something and know exactly what your looking at, and then looking a second time and realizing there is more that meet the eyes. It is a unique skill to be able to create multi purpose piece of art.
